About StableRate

StableRate is a simple, independent leaderboard of the best "safer" places to earn interest on stablecoins like USDC, USDT and DAI. Most yield sites list thousands of pools, many with eye-catching rates that vanish in a week. We filter hard and rank by the 30-day average rate instead of today's number. The same approach covers staking for 20+ proof-of-stake coins, and a small toolbox (gas, prices, market heat, swap venues, peg monitor and calculators) sits alongside, all on free public data.

Where the numbers come from

All rates, TVL and pool details come from the free public DefiLlama Yields API; stablecoin supply and price come from the DefiLlama Stablecoins API. We never type in or estimate a rate by hand. Each pool links to its DefiLlama page so you can check it.

Native staking estimates: computed from public chain APIs: Cosmos Hub and Celestia REST (PublicNode), Aptos fullnode, Cardano via Koios, Solana RPC. The formula is shown on each coin page.
Gas: public RPCs from PublicNode (eth_feeHistory), Solana getRecentPrioritizationFees; prices from DefiLlama coins (every minute).
Prices, heat detector: CoinGecko markets and trending (every 10 minutes).
Fear & Greed: alternative.me.
DEX volume: DefiLlama DEX and aggregator overviews. Live swap quotes: the public quote APIs of Velora (ParaSwap), KyberSwap, CoW Protocol, LI.FI and Jupiter.

How often it updates

Pages rebuild automatically about every 60 minutes, and an hourly scheduled job keeps them fresh even when nobody is visiting. Every page shows when its data was last fetched. If DefiLlama is briefly unavailable, we keep showing the last good data rather than an empty page.

How we rank

By 30-day average APY, highest first (native staking rows, which have no history, by their current estimate). The trend badge compares today's APY to that average. See the risk page for the exact filters.

Money

StableRate may show a clearly labelled sponsor and may use affiliate links for wallets or exchanges. Sponsors never change the ranking. Advertise with us.
